Leadership Development

Throughout everything we do, we are confident that training future leaders is the key to ongoing success within the Church, fostering the improvement of our local communities, cities, and nations around the world, as well as, fighting violence, injustice, and inequality.  We recruit and train students and young adults in urban leadership, intercultural relations, spiritual formation, and nonprofit management.  Working with our education and missional partners, we offer robust internship programs, a two-year residency, short-term leadership intensives, and service training for students from area colleges. We also pour into the life experience of youth from around the nation as they serve our neighbors for up to a week at a time.

Creating pathways for emerging leaders to learn effective strategies for life, faith, and societal influence is critical for them and the communities they will find themselves a part of in the future.  These pathways are rooted in truth, practiced alongside mentors in their fields of strength, and genuinely experiential.  This type of development ensures that the vision of strengthening urban families is carried forward in whatever context these leaders will find themselves in.
