Chicago Alive Youth Camp

Chicago Alive Youth Camp 2023 was a blessed experience of seeing God’s faithfulness to produce spiritual fruit through the consistent years of ministry from Pastor Jim Larkin. In the pictures you see two students (Jed – Philippine descent) and Salima – Congolese descent ) that are multi-year camp participants and are demonstrating spiritual growth that is thrilling to see. Throughout our time at camp these students had biblical insight and questions that were encouraging for the camp speaker to dialogue with each night during our worship sessions.

And beyond our evening sessions these students were demonstrating the gifts of the Spirit of love, kindness and patience through all the activities with the other campers and counselors.

I was personally humbled to see how God is answering our prayers on raising new laborers for the Harvest that He has prepared (Luke 10:2). I was tasked to close out the camp this year, I was prompted by the Spirit to invite these two young students to take the lead in the closing service. Empowering the youth to see that they are leaders for the church of today, that they have the fullness of the Holy Spirit to minister now. I know Pastor Jim would be so encouraged to see how this year we an abundance of prayers being answered as youth are finding hope in the name of Jesus Christ and everlasting purpose in the Kingdom of God.
