Envision Site
Envision Chicago is a diverse, incarnational ministry strategically located in the inner city of Chicago.
Chicago as a whole has about 3 million people within its city limits, and has an overall church attendance that is lower than the national average. Our base of operations for Envision Chicago is in Rogers Park- a Northside neighborhood of Chicago.
Within our community, 1 in 5 families live below the poverty line, and more than 80% of students in the public school system come from low-income households. There are more than 40 primary languages spoken in our neighborhood. Some of these languages represent people groups who come from countries with little to no access to the Gospel.
Envision Teams
Teams come from all over the nation to serve alongside us in Chicago
Since 2003, we have hosted short-term service trips in Chicago. These trips immerse team members into our community while teaching them how to engage with marginalized people and diverse people groups in our unique context.
Teams typically join us from Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning. Their week is full of cross-cultural trainings, a variety of ethnic foods, and plenty of service opportunities in and around our neighborhood.
Envision Internships
As a ministry of the C&MA, Envision identifies and develops missional leaders who innovate, establish, and strengthen communities of faith in key urban environments. We offer onboarding opportunities and practical experience through Envision Internships.
These internships are not necessarily academic internships- that means anyone can sign up and intern with us. Find out how today!
